Melissa Red Hoffman, MD, ND began her career as a naturopath and a yoga teacher. She is now a trauma surgeon with additional board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. A leader in the field of Surgical Palliative Care, Dr. Red is the creator and host of The Surgical Palliative Care Podcast and writes and speaks extensively about the integration of palliative medicine into the care of all surgical and trauma patients. She is a 2020–2021 Doximity Op-Med Fellow.
