Women physicians, we want to hear from you! Doximity is hosting our fifth annual writing contest for women in medicine and we are looking for submissions about the best career advice you've received as a woman in medicine.
What to Write About
Behind every woman who has made it through medical school, residency, and into practice is someone who said the right thing at the right moment — a mentor who reframed how you saw yourself, an attending who showed you how to hold your ground, or even a rival who pushed you harder than expected. That advice may have been formal or offhand, radical or simple. The best career wisdom isn't generic — it's specific, hard-won, and often speaks to the particular weight that you were carrying at the time. We want to hear the best advice you ever got as a woman in medicine. What did someone tell you that changed the way you practiced, negotiated, led, or just survived medicine?
What You Win
Winners and select submissions will also receive an original illustration or animation by Doximity's Illustration Team to accompany their essay when published. The winner will also receive a $100 Amazon gift card.
