Summary of app features: Essential Anatomy 5 is a realistic and interactive anatomy app that covers 11 systems, 8,200 anatomical structures, and gender differences. Users can interact with the 3D images by isolating body parts of interest, pinning notes to structures, quizzing themselves on body systems. The app has extremely engaging and lifelike graphics, making it perfect for studying.

This app is useful for: Any health care provider or student wanting to study body systems and structures. Because the app covers 11 systems, the app is relevant for many different medical specialties.

Good User Review: “I am a first year medical student and absolutely love this app! It includes just about everything you need to know for anatomy. Picturing everything in 3D and being able to rotate the body helps so much, especially for the nerves, vessels, and orientation of the organs to each other.” — CynnnnV on the App Store

Limitations: This app is one of the more expensive ones on the app store, and also has additional in-app purchases. In addition, because of the detailed graphics, it can be difficult to maneuver the app.

Alternatives: There are a lot of other anatomy apps available, such as Human Anatomy Atlas ($0.99) and Complete Anatomy (free).

Download: Essential Anatomy 5 is on App Store for $19.99, and on Google Play for $11.99.
