App of the Week: DoseMeRx

Summary of app features: DoseMeRx is a clinical tool that uses researched drug models and patient information to determine individualized dosing information for patients. With a subscription, the software runs on an app interface where clinicians can enter patient information and get dosing recommendations. In addition, the information produced by DoseMeRx can be integrated with EHR systems.

This app is useful for: any physician prescribing medication, especially pediatricians, oncologists, and internists.

Good User Review: Currently, there are no user reviews on app platforms, but DoseMeRx provides some evidence for their software on their website.

Limitations: Currently, the dosing tool only works for some classes of drug but the platform will continue to expand over time.

Alternatives: This is a unique and personalized dosing software, but typical drug references are potential alternatives. There are many of these available including Drugs.com and Epocrates Medical References.
