John R. Dayton, MD, is the first Medical Innovation Fellow with Stanford's Department of Emergency Medicine, where he also completed a Biodesign Faculty Fellowship. He received his MD from George Washington, completed residency training at SUNY-Buffalo, and did a mini-Health Policy Fellowship with ACEP in Washington, D.C. He has been practicing since 2009 and currently works at Intermountain Health in Utah. Dr. Dayton is interested in digital health, AI, entrepreneurship, and medical devices. Dr. Dayton has served as the Utah ACEP President, chaired the ACEP Freestanding Emergency Center Section, and led the ACEP Task Force focused on credentialing Freestanding EDs. Dr. Dayton is involved with medical innovation as an investor and currently advises Zus on health data interoperability and physician user experience. He co-founded Utah's Chapter of the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs (SoPE) and serves on advisory boards for both NODE.health and AngelMD. He can be reached at LinkedIn or Doximity
