Dr. Cervantes is a Clinical Associate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include renal medicine.

Dr. Cervantes grew up in Ecuador and completed her medical school at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico. She completed Internal Medicine Residency training at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Miami and Nephrology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Cervantes currently serves as faculty in the Division of Nephrology at Johns Hopkins and she is a member of the amyloid center at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Cervantes has a passion for medical education. She is actively involved in the Genes to Society Course of Renal Physiology, which is given to medical students at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of interest are amyloid, paraproteinemias, palliative care nephrology, hypertension, and diabetic kidney disease.
