Apply to Join the Doximity Women in Medicine Advisory Board!

Doximity is pleased to announce the call for applications to join our 2023–2024 Women in Medicine (WIM) Advisory Board. The Doximity WIM Advisory Board members have a unique opportunity to contribute to their field in new and exciting ways. As a member of the WIM Advisory Board, you’ll have the opportunity to reach a network of more than 200,000 physicians who identify as women via original writing, discussions on the Doximity network, and sharing news topics that are of most importance to them.

Are you a champion for equity for women in medicine? Do you have a unique perspective on what it means to be a woman in health care or clinical research today, or on life outside of medicine? If so, we’d love to work with you! Below you will find information about the benefits, responsibilities, and application process for joining the WIM Advisory Board.

As a Board Member, you will use your clinical experience and professional strengths to shape the future of the Women in Medicine (WIM) community on Doximity. Your involvement will include: 

  • Brainstorming new ideas for engaging the Doximity community of more than 200,000 U.S. women physicians who receive this email 
  • Establishing yourself as a thought leader by writing original content on Op-Med (personal experience, citing source material if needed) about any topics related to the intersection of gender and medicine at least once per board term
  • As needed, participating in interviews with our Expert Insights team, leading to an article based on conversations with other experts, your own research, or other relevant data
  • Advising on content topics and sources for selection, paying particular attention to the overall tone of the WIM email experience 
  • Contributing to the annual WIM email satisfaction survey design and interpretation of results if applicable 
  • Collaborating with WIM editor on creation of content for at least two polls or Q&As for the Doximity newsfeed relating to women in medicine per board term. Comment and encourage productive discussion 
  • Identifying rising or established women in medicine to interview and make introductions when possible 
  • If interested: Creating video content (WIM video series, and other to-be-determined video projects) for the Doximity newsfeed relating to women in medicine 

Length of Term

The Doximity Women in Medicine Advisory Board is a one-year term starting November 1, 2023. All meetings will be held remotely. The Board will meet once a month for the first four months, then bi-monthly for the remainder of the term.

Finally, we provide a monetary stipend of $1,500* in Doximity restricted stock units (RSUs) for the year. (*$1,500 based on the closing price of Doximity common stock over the trailing 30-day period ending on the day immediately prior to the effective date of the RSU grant.)

Eligibility:

  • An MD or DO who has completed residency and is licensed to practice medicine in the United States and identifies as a woman.

Must be:

  • A Doximity member 
  • A forward-thinking and enthusiastic leader in their field
  • Eager to share stories and insights with peers, create new types of content, and push your own creative boundaries
  • A dedicated writer, researcher, or educator interested in building and engaging with the Doximity network
